In an emergency, call 999.Cannot speak? Use the Silent Solution
Before you start
No method is 100% safe. Some phones, computers and apps keep records you cannot easily see or delete.
Read through these steps and choose the ones that feel safe for you.
The safest choice
Use a device the other person cannot get to. For example, a trusted friend’s phone, or a computer at a library or at work.
Use private browsing
Private browsing stops your phone or computer saving the websites you visit in its history. Close the private window when you finish.
Chrome
- On a phone or tablet:
- Tap the three dots, then “New Incognito tab”.
- On a computer:
- Click the three dots, then “New Incognito window”.
Safari
- On a phone or tablet:
- Tap the Tabs button, then swipe to or tap “Private”.
- On a computer:
- On a Mac, choose File, then “New Private Window”.
Microsoft Edge
- On a phone or tablet:
- Tap the three dots, then “New InPrivate tab”.
- On a computer:
- Click the three dots, then “New InPrivate window”.
Firefox
- On a phone or tablet:
- Tap the Tabs button, then the mask icon.
- On a computer:
- Click the menu (three lines), then “New private window”.
Samsung Internet
- On a phone or tablet:
- Tap the Tabs button, then “Turn on Secret mode”.
- On a computer:
- Phones and tablets only.
What it does not do
It does not hide what you do from your internet provider, your employer, or anyone checking the network.
Remove pages from your history
If you have already visited our website without private browsing, you can remove our pages from your history. You can remove only the pages you choose, so the rest of your history stays as it was.
Step 1: Open your history
In most browsers it is in the menu. On a computer you can press Ctrl and H (on a Mac, Command and Y).
Step 2: Find our pages
Search for “Skyluxe” to find every page you looked at.
Step 3: Delete them one at a time
Choose each page and delete it, or swipe it away on a phone.
Step 4: Check what else is saved
Look at your bookmarks, downloads and the pages your browser suggests as you type.
Phones and tablets
Other people may be able to see what you have been doing on a phone or tablet. Things to check:
- Recent appsClose the browser and any other apps you used.
- NotificationsTurn off message previews on the lock screen.
- Saved passwordsDo not let your phone save passwords for accounts you want to keep private.
- Location sharingCheck whether apps such as Find My, Google Maps or Life360 are sharing where you are.
- Shared accountsIf someone else knows your Google or Apple password, they may see your history, photos and messages on another device.
Emails and calls from us
No emails to you
We never email the person a request is for. If someone refers you, only they get a short confirmation. We never send texts.
A person calls you
A member of our team will call you, in the way you told us is safe.
Nothing saved in your browser
Our forms do not save your answers on your phone or computer.
On the request form, you can tell us:
- If it is safe to call you and leave a voicemail
- If not, another safe way or time to reach you
